The Maya were not wrong. Their prediction of The Great Transition was accurate over 5,000 years ago.
What the Maya did not appreciate was the loss of evolution during the ‘dark times’ in human history.
They did not understand the impact to human evolution of the plague, the inquisition, nor of conquests in spiritually rich cultures such as the native American cultures.
Consequently, the timetable as the Maya created over 5,000 years ago shifted a bit.
