Assessing Social Norms

We, The Mountains of the World, ask you to review the social norms you have ‘bought into’.

Look at your beliefs around and about society and it’s norms.
Assess your beliefs about what is acceptable in yourself regarding these social norms.

You may believe that social norms are necessary.
If you have this belief then have ‘purchased the company store’ so to speak. And you are allowing yourself to be decidedly disempowered.

If you have not ‘purchased the company store’, then begin reviewing what you do believe and follow as a social norm.

Make a list – empowering on the one side…dis-empowering on the other.

With which of these norms have you experienced conflict and incongruence. (Dis-empowering)
With which of these norms have you experienced joy and delight. (Empowering)
With which of these norms have you experienced pain and suffering. (Dis-empowering)
With which of these norms have you experienced enlightenment and growth. (Empowering)

Empowering and dis-empowering – the two side of the coin of social norm.
And for each individual, the empowering and disempowering will be different.
Your soul agendas differ…therefore the impact of the norms differ.

Continue working with your list of social norms, noticing how they have and are currently impacting you.

We, The Mountains of the World, assure you that this simple exercise will support your continued evolving.
